Animal Crossing Radio streams the hourly background music from every Animal Crossing game, straight in your browser. It reads your own clock, so if it is 3 PM where you are, you hear the 3 PM track — and when the hour turns, the music turns with it, exactly as it does in the games.

Pick between New Horizons, New Leaf, City Folk, Wild World and Population Growing, switch the weather to hear the rain and snow arrangements, or open the library and play any of the 890 tracks directly. It is free, there is no account, and nothing to install.

How it works

  1. 1. Press play. The radio starts on the track for your current hour. Browsers block audio until you interact with the page, so the first play has to be yours.
  2. 2. Choose your game. Open settings to switch between the five soundtracks, change the weather, or nudge the clock if you would rather hear a different hour.
  3. 3. Leave it running. Playback keeps going in a background tab and appears in your system media controls, so you can pause and skip without coming back.

What is Animal Crossing Radio?
It is a free browser radio that plays the hourly background music from the Animal Crossing games. It reads your device clock and plays the track for the hour you are actually in, so at 3 PM you hear the 3 PM song. Nothing to install and no account needed.
Which Animal Crossing games can I listen to?
Five games have a full 24-hour soundtrack: New Horizons (Switch), New Leaf (3DS), City Folk (Wii), Wild World (DS) and Population Growing, Animal Crossing (Population: Growing!). The music library also includes K.K. Slider, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp and Amiibo Festival.
Does the music change with the weather?
Yes. Each hour has rain and snow arrangements in addition to the clear-weather version, and you can switch between them in the settings. Population Growing only shipped snow variants, so it has clear and snow but no rain.
Is it free?
Completely. There is no signup, no subscription and no paywall. It is a fan project made by an Animal Crossing player.
Can I play a specific song instead of the hourly track?
Yes. Open the music library to browse every album and play any track directly, or turn on Random Mode to shuffle across the games you choose. You can switch back to hourly music at any time.
Can I listen while the tab is in the background?
Yes. Playback continues while you work in other tabs or apps, and the track shows up in your operating system media controls so you can pause and skip from there.
Is there a Chrome extension?
Yes. The Animal Crossing Radio extension puts the same hourly music one click away in your browser toolbar, without keeping a tab open.
Is there a 24/7 stream?
There is. Animal Crossing Radio runs a continuous music stream on Twitch, where chat can also vote on the next song.
